Register the counter tablet
Authorize your store’s tablets and phones so employees can sign in with their PIN, and turn one off if it’s lost.
For security, employee PINs only work on devices registered by the owner or a manager. Even if someone learns a PIN, they can’t use it from home.
Register a device
- 1On the store tablet, open the browser and sign in to Tintora POS with the owner’s or a manager’s email and password.
- 2Go to Settings → Devices.
- 3Enter a name that identifies it, such as “Counter tablet.”
- 4Tap Register this device.
- 5Tap Go to the PIN screen. From now on, each employee taps their name and enters their PIN.
The PIN screen
- If someone enters the wrong PIN 5 times in a row, their user is locked for 15 minutes.
- The screen locks itself after the idle minutes you set in Settings → Your store.
- At the end of a shift, anyone can tap Lock screen in the account menu.
If a device is lost or stolen
- 1From another device, go to Settings → Devices.
- 2Open the three-dot menu for the lost device.
- 3Tap Turn off device and confirm.
Whoever is using it is signed out immediately and can no longer sign in with a PIN on that device.
